Insurance Agent (Full-Time)

Are you tired of cold calling, meeting quotas, and long hours?  We might be the agency for you! We are seeking a courteous, detail-oriented professional eager to ensure clients receive excellent service.  As a small business, we are looking for a candidate willing to go that extra mile to provide a friendly, quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with prospective clients to ascertain eligibility, obtain required information to provide quotes, and determine appropriate coverage to satisfy their insurance needs

  • Meet with prospective and existing clients to review and provide an informative understanding of insurance policy coverages; submit applications and generate evidence of insurance

  • Respond to client inquiries regarding existing policies; answer questions, make any requested changes, and/or apply payments to existing client policies

  • Assist in explaining the claims process, advising clients regarding their claim, and process claims

  • Work cooperatively in a team environment to provide excellent service to clients

Qualifications/Skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Shows initiative and able to work independently

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance experience

  • Must be currently licensed in Property & Casualty

  • Willing to obtain a Life Insurance license

  • Must be willing to submit to a background check

Details

Compensation: Hourly plus commission with guaranteed base salary of $50k-$60k for first 3 years
Benefits: paid leave, 14 paid holidays, licensing and continuing education reimbursement
Hours: Full-time, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (37.5 hour work week)
